Description
Read the first three chapters of The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawnkins download. In this book, first published in 1976, Dawkins proposes a gene-centered view of evolution (as opposed to group selection) to explain a range of human and animal behaviors such as selfishness, altruism, kin selection, and competition. The first three chapters discuss how genes developed and continue to survive, replicate and evolve through their “survival machines” (us).
