Select a company that you have purchased from or are familiar with (select a specific clothing store, restaurant, auto, sporting or outdoors store, etc. do NOT use Walmart or Target).  After selecting your company consider how they segment the market and their position in the market against their competitiors.

Describe in detail your companies segments (demographic, geographic, psychological, and behavioral) and use content from the company’s website to substantiate your descriptions.

After describing the segments, how does the company target those segments?  Are they effective in their targeting, why or why not?  (Provide at least one specific targeting example for each segment).

Finally, how does your chosen company compare to their direct competitiors?  Establish who their direct competitiors are.  Develop a perceptual map for positioning as described in Chapter 5.  Also, select one competitior and compare a strategy (product selection, marketing, pricing, etc.) and describe who does it best.  You must provide evidence of the strategy and why one company does it better than another.

The assignment should be at least three full, double spaced pages in length.  At least two scholarly resources, the textbook, and relevant company information should be cited.  APA format should be used for this assignment.
