Then compose an essay that synthesizes Bradstreet’s works, the articles, and your own viewpoint, agreeing or disagreeing as necessary. Use the They Say/ I SayAcademic Moves, strong verbs, transitions, and bridging words and phrases to move the conversation and to achieve a unified whole. All citations should take the form of paraphrases: do not use any direct quotes.
PROMPT: Examine Kimberly Latta’s, article “’ Such is My Bond’: Maternity and Economy in Anne Bradstreet’s Writings”, and Anne Bradstreet’s “To My Dear and Loving Husband”, “Here Follows Some Verses upon the Burning of our House, July 10th1666”, and “To My Dear Children” p. 235 –238. Discuss the ways in which Bradstreet blends domestic and theological imagery in her writings.
