Education Reforms During Peronism

Shortly after Juan Domingo Perón’s inauguration as constitutional president of Argentina on 4 June 1946, the educational system took central stage in the Peronist administration. One important motivation was to integrate “all levels of education into one system”.[1] A series of reforms, laws, “pedagogic methods,” technical education, Peronist’ textbooks, to name a few, were part of the grand scheme to achieve “spiritual unity” and transcend the values of nationalism and religion.[2]

ANALYZE the objectives and reforms implemented on behalf of the educational system that celebrated the values of Peronism and modernization of education.
