For this mid-term paper, students will select a topic related to providing services to victims/survivors of abuse, their children, or batterers of diverse populations. Diversity issues must combine two dimensions of age, class, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or citizenship status.

Examples of population include low-income Asian American victims/survivors or immigrant victims/survivors with disability. the paper should be 4-5 pages (excluding references and cover page), double spaced, and APA styled (7th edition, student version).

The paper should address the following questions:

• What are the needs of your identified populations? What are specific challenges the client may face for their group memberships and identities?

• How have current direct, community, or policy responses exacerbated their condition, failed to address their needs, or ignored them all together?

• What is practice and/or advocacy strategies suggested in the professional literature?

A minimum of six (6) references from professional literature is required. Professional literature includes articles published peer-reviewed scholarly journals, and/or books, including the course textbook. For this assignment, please DO NOT use any sources published only on the internet, including agency/organizational documents/webpage, and ones featured in the mass or social media.
